A professional waste centre

We have a logistics platform equipped with loading/unloading bays dedicated to WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Located on a special 4,000 m² site, it includes an 800 m² building, which can be used for covered or uncovered storage.

for sorting up to 10 different materials.

As early as 2018, recycling stakeholders agreed that sorting instructions needed to be simplified by 2023 (Law on Energy Transition for Green Growth) in order to massify sorting and increase volumes: the development stream was created.

It was against this backdrop that Environnement Massif Central was selected by CITEO as part of an AMI (Call for Expressions of Interest) to oversort new plastic packaging.

This sutri centre, based in Mende in Lozère, will have a capacity of 30,000 tonnes/year.

In accordance with the AMI specifications, it will incorporate the latest optical sorting and robotics technologies.

The ergonomics of the equipment and the working conditions of the operators have been particularly studied and integrated into the design of the centre.

The project also involved research into responsible energy consumption.
